Dallas Quinley, 72, of Rome City, Indiana went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 30, 2022, in the Emergency Room at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.
He was born August 15, 1950, in Richlands, Virginia to Frank and Juanita (Beavers) Quinley.
Dallas was raised by Sim and Joyce Shortridge.
He moved to the area at the age of 17 from Grundy, Virginia.
On August 12, 1969, in Three River, Michigan he married Linda K. Borntreger.
He had worked several area foundries including, Sturgis, Newnam, and North End.
Dallas enjoyed archery, playing softball and golf, and anything John Deere.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Linda Quinley of Rome City; two daughters, Lori (Dane Clark) Miller of Albion and Angie (Shane) Perkins of Kendallville; two sons, Dallas M. (Wendy) Quinley of Albion and D. Shane (Tonya) Quinley of Wolcottville; eight grandchildren, Cody Musser, Corey Quinley, Skylar (Brooke Bontrager) Quinley, Shanae (Cody Hilligoss) Perkins, Taylor Miller, Dakota (Skyler) Bolen, Hayden Miller, and Payton Quinley; two step-grandchildren, Jordan (Wendy) Rice and Cortney (Wes) Perkins; six great-grandchildren, Onika Musser, Navii Musser, Alianna Renfrow, Jane Villa, Carson Seitz, and Alydia Hilligoss; three sisters, Shirley (Tollie) Ratliff of Grundy, Virginia, Linda (Ellis) Osborne of Grundy, Virginia, and Ruby Church of Grundy, Virginia; a brother, Raymond (Wanda) Quinley of Albion and his dog, Elli.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a grandson, Christopher Quinley; a great-grandson, Kylyn Musser; and three sisters, Mary Hurley, Julia Looney, and Oramae Mullins.
Celebration of life services will be Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at 1 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Visitation will also be on Wednesday, one hour prior to the celebration of life services at the funeral home.
