Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel.

Calling is Monday, November 3, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home. ********************************************************************************************** Dale E. Clouse, 88, of Albion died Friday, October 31, 2014, due to an explosion at his home.

He was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Clouse honorably served in the U.S. Army in Germany during World War II.

He was a farmer his entire life. He also worked as a lineman and foreman for Noble County REMC, retiring after 33 ½ years. He then was a truck driver and also worked for Jerry Grogg Auctioneer.

He was a member of the Albion American Legion Post 246 and the Albion Eagles Lodge.

Dale enjoyed fishing at Schauweker Lake on his property and working at auctions.

He was born September 10, 1926, in Noble County to Marion and Lauris (Summers) Clouse.

He was married to Betty L. Clouse, and she preceded him in death. He then was married to Betty E. (Johnson) Wells on October 31, 1963, in Columbia City. He died on their 51st wedding anniversary.

Surviving are his wife, Betty E. Clouse of Albion; two daughters, Brenda (John) Crider of New Paris and Karolee (David) Hughes of Fortson, Georgia; two sons, Bob Clouse of Chandler, North Carolina and Kevin (Terra) Clouse of Albion; 16 grandchildren, Kasey (Jason) Pieper, Shane (Erin) Clouse, Jason (Trina) Clouse, Nathan Kearns, Nicole Clouse, Chris (Julie) Krider, Keith (Jenny) Wells, Tracy Klem, Natasha Bentley, Nicholette Antoniuk, Caleb Hughes, Addie (Donnie) Newcomer, Ellie Grace Hughes, Gabriel Hughes, Hannah Hughes, and Lillie Hughes; 13 great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandchild; and a sister, Helen Patton of Churubusco.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Brent Wedding officiating. Burial will be in Christian Chapel Cemetery in Merriam.

Honor guard services will be provided by the Albion American Legion Post 246 and active duty members of the U.S. Army.

Pallbearers will be Dave Smith, Shane Clouse, Jason Pieper, Bob Clouse, Kevin Clouse, and Keith Wells.

Calling is Monday, November 3, 2014, from 2 to 6 p.m. in the funeral home.

Preferred memorials are to the Albion Fire Department.
