Obituary

Dakota Matthew "Kody" Pratt, 19, of Huntington passed away Wednesday, August 16, 2017, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born July 15, 1998, in Muskegon, Michigan, to Matthew R. and Nancy R. (Bertoia) Pratt. His parents survive in Huntington.

Dakota worked as a tree trimmer for a company in Stroh.

He enjoyed fishing and listening to music.

Also surviving are a sister, Breanna Pratt of Huntington; two brothers, Roger Dexter of Angola and Kylar Pratt of Angola; paternal grandparents, Ronald and Suzanne Pratt of Grand Rapids, Michigan; maternal step grandmother, Janice Bertoia; three nephews, Landen Dexter, Gannon Tackett, and Theodore Pratt; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, George and Rosemary Bertoia; an aunt, Toni Gentz; and an uncle, Joseph Bertoia.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials are to the family to assist with expenses.
