Obituary

Corey Evan Jacobs, 10, of LaGrange died Monday, May 1, 2017, at 12:47 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

He was born November 30, 2006, in Kendallville to Jonathan and Casey (Holliday) Jacobs. His parents survive in LaGrange.

He was a fourth grade student at Meadowview Elementary School in Shipshewana.

Corey loved to watch basketball. He liked red balls and Elmo, because red was his favorite color. Watching "Wheel of Fortune" and coloring were his favorite things to do. And, he loved giving kisses. He was loved by so many and will be missed dearly.

Also surviving are three sisters, Jazmyne Jacobs of LaGrange, Kennedy Jacobs, and Charleigh Jacobs both at home; four brothers, Trevor Jacobs of LaGrange, Trace Holliday, Jessie Jacobs, and Jon Jacobs all at home; maternal grandmother, Cathy Holliday of South Milford; maternal great-grandmother, Lorie Holliday of Rome City; maternal great-grandfather, Kent Garman of Avilla; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mike Holliday; maternal great-grandfather, Sturgill Holliday; maternal great-grandmother, Beverly Garman; paternal grandmother, Joyce Hicks; and paternal grandfather, Birtchel Jacobs.

Funeral services will be Friday, May 5, 2017, at 1 p.m. at Grace Christian Church, 126 East Mitchell Street, Kendallville with Pastor Scotty Ritchie officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Pallbearers will be Jonathan Jacobs, Travis Holliday, Trevor Jacobs, Trace Holliday, Jaden Holliday, and Jessie Jacobs.

Calling is Thursday, May 4, 2017, from 2 to 8 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the family to defray funeral expenses.
