Obituary

Constance S. "Connie" Handshoe, 70, of Kendallville died Sunday, December 6, 2009, at 11:15 a.m. in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.

Mrs. Handshoe was a lifetime area resident. She had worked at Plastimatics in Albion.

She was born May 9, 1939, in DeKalb County to Arthur and Orla May (Derrow) Swander.

Surviving are three daughters, Cheryl Stafford of Kendallville, Debra Halsey of Albion, and Tammy Altimus of Wawaka; one son, Allen Handshoe of Albion; ten grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two sisters, JoAnn Wert of Kendallville and Carolyn Martin of Fort Wayne; and two brothers, Fred Swander of Albion and Richard Swander of Fremont.

She was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery Handshoe, four sisters, and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 8, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the chapel at Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville with Pastor Matthew Swander officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling is one hour prior to the service at Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.
