Calling: Thursday, February 14, 2013 - 2 to 7 p.m. with an evening service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home ******************************************************** Connie Patrick, 76, of Rome City died Sunday, February 10, 2013, at 7:55 a.m. in Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne following a lengthy illness.

She has lived in Rome City for over 25 years.

Connie was an licensed practical nurse at the Kendallville and LaGrange Hospitals. She last worked at the Family Birthing Center in Wolcottville.

She loved to sew and enjoyed watching birds.

Her family has been extremely grateful and wants to thank everyone for their many kindnesses throughout her illness.

She was born October 31, 1936, in Kendallville to John and Iveta Grace (Kurtz) Friend.

Surviving are three sons, Terry McNamara of Kendallville, Robert J. (Teresa) McNamara of Albion, and Harold John (Anna) McNamara of Topeka; a daughter, Connie (Harold) Cummins of Rome City; 25 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; a brother, John Friend of Butler; and many loved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Ilene Fogleson and Lonnie "Bridge" Wallace; a daughter, Roberta Sue Bloomfield; a grandson, Steven McNamara; a great-granddaughter, Annalyse McNamara; and a niece, Toni Miller.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 15, 2013, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville, with Pastor Tamra Gerber of the Topeka United Methodist Church officiating. Private burial will be at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeremy Weaver, Chris Weaver, Philip Weaver, John Miller, Alem "Omar" Nagi, and Samuel Kemerly. Active pallbearers will be Vince Coleman, Dean McNamara, Justin McNamara, Joe McNamara, Scott McNamara, Jason Patrick, Ryan McNamara, J.R. Miller, and Craig Larimer.

Calling is Thursday, February 14, 2013, from 2 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home with an evening service at 7 p.m. with Pastor Glen Patrick and Pastor Larry Patrick officiating.
