Connie Sue Lee, 73, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Saturday, March 1, 2025, at Lutheran Life Villages in Kendallville following a brief fight with cancer.
She was born May 10, 1951, in Greencastle, Indiana, to Carl E. and Esther Earlene (Newgent) Berry.
On December 16, 1967, in Rome City she married Bill H. Lee. He preceded her in death on March 13, 2002.
She retired as a realtor, and attended the South Milford Church of the Garden.
Connie enjoyed reading, playing BINGO, and spending time with friends drinking coffee. She loved to listen to American Gospel singer, Ernie Haase.
Connie stated that everyone should treasure every moment you've got because things can change at the snap of your fingers. She also wanted her girls to know they mean so much to her.
Surviving are a daughter, Pamela (Ike) Notestine of Mongo; four grandchildren, Caitlin Sue (Adam) Dallich, Samantha Marie Ross, Jessica Renee Notestine, and Rebecca Kristine Notestine; a great grandson, Stoyan Dallich and one more on the way; a sister, Donna (David) Miller of Kendallville; two brothers, Joseph (Rick) Bries-Berry of Denver, Colorado, and Carl Douglas (Sally) Berry of Jeffersonville; several nieces and nephews; extended family in central Indiana; and her church family.
She was also preceded in death by an infant sister, Tamara Berry and a sister, Sharon Gibson.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2025, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Mike Antal of the South Milford Church of the Garden officiating.
Burial will follow at the South Milford Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Dane Blackburn, David Blackburn, David Perkins, Jacob Perkins, Joshua Smart, Michael Baldwin, Eden Rangel, and Glen Weldon.
Memorials may be directed to Noble County Council on Aging for Noble Transit Service or Lutheran Life Villages, both in Kendallville.
