Obituary

Clyde A. Homister, 83, of Kendallville died Friday, August 20, 2021, at his residence.

He was born February 20, 1938, in Texas to Mickey Homister and Gracie (Hyde) Fugate.

Mr. Homister retired as a core maker at Newnam Foundry in Kendallville.

Surviving are his wife of 40 years, Phyllis (Hicks) Homister of Kendallville; three daughters, Sharon Kamaka of Fort Wayne, Donna Homister of Kendallville, and Anita Fay (Lionel) Cox of Corunna; five sons, Jeff Homister of Kendallville, Paul Werner of Wawaka, James Werner of Kendallville, George (Rose) Mullins of Kendallville, and Jimmy (Dorine Lovely) Mullins of Kendallville; numerous grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Rita Chamblee of Texas.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Gayle Homister; a son, Riley Homister; and a brother, Roger Fugate.

A graveside service will be held Monday, August 23, 2021, at 11 a.m. at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
