Obituary

Cleola Marie Morton, 84, of Angola died Monday, January 22, 2018, at her residence.

She was born June 20, 1933, in Allen County to Cleo H. and Julia M. (Robinson) Bell.

Mrs. Morton had lived in the area since 1951, coming from Waterloo.

She and her husband owned and operated the Next-to-New Shop, later known as Country Furniture at their West Fox Lake Road residence for many years.

She was an active member of the Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church and their ladies aide and was also a volunteer at the Pleasant Lake United Methodist food bank.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary (Don Yockey) Jetmore of Hudson and Lisa (Donnie Durbin) Eastwood of Fremont; a son, Frank (Lesia) Morton of Kendallville; 14 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; four great great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carolyn (Ted) Rohr of Ossian.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Morton on June 12, 1988; a son, Timmy Morton; a daughter, Janet Clark; a brother, William Bell; and a granddaughter, Patricia Jetmore.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 26, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Pleasant Lake United Methodist Church with Rev. John Boyonowski officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery.

Calling is Thursday, January 25, 2018, from 3 to 7 p.m. at the church and one hour prior to the service on Friday.

Preferred memorials are to the Pleasant Lake United Methodist food bank.
