Clarence K. "Casey" Brickley, 74, of Wolcottville died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 16, 2007, at 10:38 a.m. in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.
Mr. Brickley was a graduate of Rock Creek High School, Wells County, Indiana. He was the former owner of Bill & Casey's Landing, Wolcottville. He had worked at Duo Therm in LaGrange, Tite-Lok in Topeka, and Lake City Animal Clinic in Warsaw. He was a U.S. Army Veteran; member of American Legion Post 381, Rome City; Masonic Lodge in Bluffton; and Scottish Rite in Fort Wayne.
Casey enjoyed cooking, gardening, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends.
He was born October 26, 1932, in Wells County, Indiana, to Clarence and Lola (Pence) Brickley. He married Jean Munson on May 30, 1954, in Bluffton.
Surviving are his wife, Jean Brickley of Wolcottville; five daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda & Dan Levitz of Angola; Kris & Mike Reade of Wolcottville; Penny & Steve Miller of LaGrange; Pam & Dan Hann of Leesburg; and Amy & Jim Gerardot of Wolcottville; 14 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; three sisters, Kathleen Houtz of Bluffton; Barbara & Joel Smekens of Bluffton; and Judy & John Cupp of Bluffton; and one brother, Robert & Pat Brickley of Markle.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Kenny Brickley, Greg Brickley, and Jerrold Gilbert, and two sisters, Nova Lee Barrick and Sara Lou Hunter.
Services will be Friday, October 19, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 18, 2007, from 2-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the LaGrange County 4-H Association.
