Christopher John Terry, 40, of Wolcottville, Indiana, was in a tragic motorcycle accident last week. His severe injuries made it impossible for him to survive without extreme life support measures. Because Chris had a gigantic heart, he chose to become an organ donor. Those gifts of life were given to others on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
He was born September 23, 1983, in LaGrange, Indiana, to Shelby Terry, Jr. and Debra Ann (Fratoni) Terry. His parents survive in Wolcottville.
He was a welder and fabricator. He served on the Johnson Township Fire Department when he was young.
Chris was an avid Harley Davidson fan. He enjoyed motorcycles, hunting, and participating in the demolition derby.
Also surviving are six children, Kaitlyn Terry, Shelby Terry, and Brody Terry and their mother, Carman Dazey all of Montpelier, Ohio; Ashtin Yates and her mother, Alexis Yates both of Kendallville; and Rilynn Terry and Westin Terry and their mother, Vanessa VanKirk all of Wolcottville; two sisters, D.J. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Dezarae Nicole Terry on June 9, 2023; a niece, Olivia Brumbaugh; paternal grandparents, Johnny and Helen Gibson; and maternal grandparents, Ronald and Dorothea Fratoni.
Visitation will be Monday, July 22, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Burial will follow at Brushy Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brody Terry, Michael Terry, Jack Selner, Nate Patrick, Jim Thomas, III, Travis Grady, and Chad Bateman.
