Calling: Monday, December 2, 2013 - Noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home *********************************************************************************** Christine Maxwell, 76, of Kendallville died Thursday, November 28, 2013, at 9 a.m. in her residence.

She had worked at Blaising's Restaurant in Rome City as a cook.

She was born January 11, 1937, in Knott County, Kentucky, to Pearl and Edna (Owen) Fuller.

On December 24, 1991, in Kendallville she married Owen "Slim" Maxwell. He survives in Kendallville.

Also surviving are a daughter, Bertha Ann Tavey of Nevada; three grandchildren, Tina (Chapin Wentz) Weber of Fort Wayne, Mike Tavey of Nevada, and Mary Ann Tavey of Nevada; her mother, Edna Fuller of Rome City; two brothers, Otis (Janet) Fuller of Burr Oak, Michigan, and Raymond Fuller of Wolcottville; and five sisters, Edith (Jack Kime) Coney of Ligonier, Linda (Dale) Caywood of Wolcottville, Janette (Elmer) Lucas of Rome City, Vedra (John) Martin of Avilla, and Betty (Jim) Brown of Rome City.

She was preceded in death by her father, Pearl Fuller; four brothers, Leander Fuller, Sammy Joe Fuller, Willie Fuller, and Ernest Fuller; and a sister, Dora Mullins.

Funeral services will be Monday, December 2, 2013, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Monday, December 2, 2013, from noon to 2 p.m. in the funeral home.
