Chrissy Lee Cope, 42, of Huntington, Indiana died Wednesday, June 26, 2024, as the result of a car accident on State Road 205 in Churubusco.

She was born April 23, 1982, in Noble County, Indiana to Glenn J. Rugg, Sr. and Patricia L. "Patty" Rugg.

Chrissy had previously attended Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church in Lisbon.

She enjoyed traveling, taking selfies, cooking, boating, being outside, and going to the Kendallville Apple Festival. She loved caring for others and was a very loving person.

Surviving are two daughters, Destiny (Breanna Baker) Cope of Wolcottville and Brooklyn Cope of Wolcottville; two sisters, Toni Marie Lovely of Kendallville and Megan Contreras of Kendallville; two brothers, Glenn "Joey" Rugg, Jr. of Rome City and Tyler Rugg of Kendallville; her stepfather, Jason Price of Kendallville; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Rugg, Sr.; her mother, Patricia L. "Patty" Price; her grandparents, Lee and B. Darlene Dixon; the father of her children, Ryan Andrew Cope on July 26, 2023; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 1, 2024, at 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Visitation is Monday, July 1, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.

Cremation will follow the service and burial will be in Orange Cemetery near Rome City.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorials directed for funeral expenses.
