Obituary

Cheryl J. Baker, 71, of Middlebury died Saturday, April 29, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born December 1, 1951 in Auburn to Max and Gertrude (Harris) Baker.

On September 12, 2020 she married Robert Lee Fenters. They began dating on October 20, 1982.

She retired from ATM in Angola.

Surviving are her husband, Robert Fenters of Middlebury; six children, Angie (Chad) Sheets of Albion, Josh Fenters of Albion, Amanda Baker of Kendallville, Lori Cripe of Kendallville, David Baker of Middlebury and Kellie Hathaway of Middlebury; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Steve Baker of Kendallville, Marvin Baker of Fort Wayne and Denny (Eddie) Baker of Fort Wayne; and three sisters, Connie (Bill) Dietrich of Hamilton, Kaylene Motts of Ohio, and Cindy Yarde of Auburn.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Tracy March; and a grandson, Ethan Baker.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 4, 2023, at 5 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Visitation will be two hours prior to the services on Thursday.

Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery near Salem Center at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the family.
