Charles David Morgan, 85, of Kendallville died Tuesday, April 11, 2017, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

He was born August 16, 1931, in Knox to Charles Harvey and Georgia Lucille (Stevens) Morgan.

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1950 to 1954 during the Korean War.

On August 21, 1967, in Argos he married Carol Jean Pike. She survives in Kendallville.

Mr. Morgan retired after ten years with the Rome City Sewer Department.

Surviving are a daughter, Shelly (Max) Miller of Rome City; two sons, Timothy Cornelius of Las Vegas and Michael Morgan of Las Vegas, Nevada; four grandchildren, Stephen Morgan, Casey Cornelius, Corbin Cornelius, and Charliegh Cornelius; two great-grandchildren, Lane Sprow and Liberty Sprow; and a brother, Ned Morgan of South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Morgan and John Frederick Morgan.

There will be no visitation or services.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
