Charles E. "Chuck" Campbell, 62, of Kendallville died Monday, March 5, 2018, at his residence.
He was born August 21, 1955, in Whitley County to Boyd and Lois Jean (Tipton) Campbell. His father preceded him in death.
He last worked at the Murphy gas station at Wal-Mart in Kendallville.
Mr. Campbell attended Zion Lutheran Church in DeKalb County.
Chuck enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, playing darts, cards, and dominos. He loved being with his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Surviving are his mother, Lois Jean Kelly of Kendallville; three sisters, Rena (Jeff) Schumm of Kendallville, Barbara (Steven) Boyer of Waterloo, and Brenda (Dennis) Rickman of Garrett; two brothers, Michael Campbell of New Castle and Steve (Jackie) Stewart of Colorado; and a half-sister, Kim Barrick of Howe; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be Friday, March 9, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Rev. Dr. Robert Shriner of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville officiating.
There will be a gathering of friends on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials are to the Humane Society of Noble County or the Humane Society of DeKalb County.
