Obituary

Catherine E. Galloway, 84, of Oliver Lake, Wolcottville died Wednesday, April 3, 2019, at Orchard Pointe Health Campus, Kendallville.

She was born November 25, 1934, in Indianapolis to Lloyd and Esther (Kramer) Mosiman.

On September 4, 1959, in Bloomington she married Jack A. Galloway. He preceded her in death on April 11, 2013.

Mrs. Galloway retired from Helmsburg Elementary School in Brown County where she taught fourth grade for 38 years and helped to mold many young lives.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in LaGrange.

Catherine enjoyed playing Scrabble and cards. She also liked coloring, reading, birdwatching, butterflies, nature, and flowers. She loved spending time with her children and friends, as well as her cat, Luna.

Cathie's zest for life, infectious smile, and fun loving nature will be greatly missed by all who crossed her path.

Surviving are a daughter, Jill Alexandra Galloway, of Wolcottville; a son, Kim Edward Galloway of Wolcottville; two grandchildren, Jacob Galloway and Jessica Galloway; and a sister, Mildred Cook of Gainesville, Florida.

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Sovers and a brother, Charles Mosiman.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2019, at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, 209 West Spring Street, LaGrange with Pastor Chris Lantz and Pastor Andrea Lantz officiating.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 13, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to Elijah Haven Crisis Intervention Center, 201 South Detroit Street, LaGrange, Indiana, 46761 or to ARK Animal Sanctuary, 0530 E 300 S, LaGrange, Indiana, 46761.
