Carolyn C. Wightman, 87, of Angola, Indiana died Friday, August 11, 2023, at Cameron Memorial Hospital.

She was born May 23, 1936, in Battle Creek, Michigan to Lawrence and Agnes (Cook) Cargill.

She married Robert Wightman. He preceded her in death on June 21, 2020.

Mrs, Wightman had worked at Sears in Battle Creek, Michigan for 27 years.

Carolyn was an avid quilter and also enjoyed flower gardening.

Surviving are a daughter, Laurie (Robert) Creager of Hudson; two sons, Ronald (Lynn) Wightman of Rochester, Minnesota and Daniel (Sheila) Wightman of Angola; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and a sister, Ann Lee (Bob) Spindlow of South Carolina.

Private family graveside services will be held at Hickory Corners Cemetery in Delton, Michigan.

Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson/Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street is assisting the family with arrangements.
