Carol May Miller, 69, of Big Turkey Lake, LaGrange, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Monday, May 24, 2021, at her residence.
She was born May 28, 1951, in Garrett, Indiana, to Glenn W. and Ethel May (Starner) Shirk.
On July 15, 1972, she married Roger L. Miller. He preceded her in death on March 24, 2012.
She had worked at Kraft Foods in the sanitation department for several years, but first and foremost, she was a wife, mom, and grandma.
Mrs. Miller was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.
Carol enjoyed walking on the beach, mushroom hunting, fishing, playing cards, traveling, and living on Big Turkey Lake. She dearly loved her children and grandchildren and enjoyed every minute spent with them.
Surviving are a daughter, Krystal (Bryan) Gresock of Dayton, Ohio; a son, Paul (Lisa Senour-Reboulet) Miller of Rushville; five grandchildren, Brayden Gresock, Aubrey Gresock, Gage Miller, Corrin Reboulet, and Christian Reboulet; and three brothers, Joseph (Carolyn) Shirk of Columbia City, Donald (Nancy) Shirk of Arizona, and Eugene Shirk, of Auburn.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Barbara Huyette, Katherine Camp, Marilyn Yarde, and Patricia Bornick; and two brothers, Steven Shirk and Carson Shirk.
Funeral services will be Thursday, May 27, 2021, at 2:30 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson with Rev. Philip Rigdon of St. John Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will follow at Wright Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
Preferred memorials may be directed to St. John Lutheran Church.
Carol's funeral service on Thursday will also live stream on the Young Family Funeral Home Facebook page beginning at 2:30 p.m. for those unable to attend in person.
