Carla Ann Wilson, 68, of New Haven, Indiana and formerly of Kendallville, Indiana died Saturday, June 15, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

She was born November 18, 1955, in Provo, Utah to Kenneth D. and Colleen (Allman) Bradley.

Carla retired in 1993, after 14 years with the U. S. Air Force.

She loved to read, smoke her cigarettes and drink coffee. She enjoyed wind chimes and gardening. She was a loving caregiver who helped other women navigate the difficult VA system. Carla found peace and comfort by embracing her Native American culture through sweats and sundances.

Surviving are a daughter, Sasha M. (Scott) Wendland of South Bend; a son, Joshua J. (Nikki Lepowsky) Fuchs of Apple Valley, Minnesota; three grandchildren, Dimitri (Courtney) Rathke stationed with the U.S. Navy in Guam, Chandler Rathke of Kendallville, and James Fuchs of Apple Valley, Minnesota; two sisters, Cathy "Bo" Ritchie of Des Moines, Iowa, and Kenda Linderman of Creston, Iowa; and her companion of 31 years, her bird, Sam.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Theresa Bradley, Angela Hyatt, and Wendy Martin; and two brothers, Raymond Bradley and Kevin Bradley.

Private family celebration of life services will be held at a later date.
