Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. in Bethel Christian Baptist Church, 2838 E. US Highway 6, Kendallville.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the church. ************************************************************************************ Camilla E. "Momma" Dean, 74, of Kendallville died Thursday, January 29, 2015, at 9:55 p.m. in her residence.

She has lived in this area for 49 years.

Ms. Dean worked at Coldwell General in Kendallville.

Momma Dean enjoyed her family, playing Bingo, fishing, NASCAR, camping, being with her grandchildren, and watching squirrels and birds from her swing. She loved her rose bushes.

She was born August 18, 1940, in Terre Haute to Clovis and Elizabeth (Harris) Rukes.

Surviving are four daughters, Cindy (Bruce) Mitchell of Terre Haute, Liz (Bobby) Click of Kendallville, Rhonda (Tim) Shepherd of Kendallville, and Rose Miller of Rome City; nine sons, Allen (Shelly) Dean of Angola, Jimmy (Jen) Dean of Kendallville, Donnie Dean of Kendallville, Bill (Gina) Dean of South Carolina, Hershell (Kristy) Dean of Albion, Jay (Veronica) Dean of Kendallville, Dickie Dean of Rome City, Ben (Michelle) Dean of Kendallville, and Dallas (Rhonda) Dean of Kendallville; daughter-in-law, Regina Dean of Kendallville; 68 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Roselee Alsep of West Terre Haute; a brother, Clovis "PeeWee" (Linda) Rukes of Muncie; five sisters-in-law, Dorothy VanHook of Ligonier, Betty Teague of Oshkosh, Wisconsin, Patricia Fields of Clinton, Peggy Dean of Kendallville, and Rita Dean of Terre Haute; and five brothers-in-law, Don (Tish) Dean of Kendallville, Mike Dean of Kendallville, Jack (Minnie) Dean of Kendallville, Clarence (Gloria) Dean of Columbia City, and Robert (Sandy) Dean of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, James Leeds; a son, Jack Dean; the father of her children, James Dean; two brothers, Charles Rukes and Paul Rukes; a sister, Maxine Tackett; two sisters-in-law, Rose Dean and Mary (Mike) Ledger; and four brothers-in-law, Richard Dean, Gerald Fields, Leon VanHook, and Herschel Alsep.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 7, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. in Bethel Christian Baptist Church, 2838 E. US Highway 6, Kendallville. Burial will be in the Cosperville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the church.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
