Early in her marriage, June raised chicks for Steckley's Mill & Hatchery, which were then sold as layers. She was Co-Marshall of the 2009 Noble County Fair Parade. June was on the 4-H Committee for over 50 years, during which time she assisted with the livestock auction as secretary and helped in the Floral Hall. She was a member of 4-H when sewing was the only project offered to girls.
She enjoyed planting a vegetable garden every year, canning, and freezing. She was a beautiful seamstress and an excellent cook. Since 1982, she wintered in Lake Placid, Florida.
She was born January 7, 1920, in Wayne Township to Archie E. and Lula (Tartter) Hill. On November 14, 1942, in Kendallville she married Fay E. Parr. He preceded her in death on August 18, 1993.
