Calling: Friday, May 30, 2014 - 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to services on Saturday ******************************************************************************************** Brian Paul Rhodes, 45, of Madisonville, Tennessee, and formerly of Kendallville died Monday, May 26, 2014, in his residence.
He has lived in Tennessee since 2009, coming from Kendallville.
He was employed as a welder at Commercial Vehicle Group in Vonore, Tennessee.
Brian was a talented artist. He coached his son's football team. His hobbies were fishing, welding, and working on cars. He enjoyed NASCAR and was a Green Bay Packer fan. But, most importantly, Brian loved his children.
He was born December 5, 1968, in Kendallville to Roger Lee and Shirley Yvonne (Keen) Rhodes.
On August 24, 1995, in Albion he married Alicia Lynn Armstrong.
Surviving are his wife, Alicia Lynn Rhodes of Madisonville, Tennessee; a daughter, Misty Rhodes of Rome City; a son, Vincent Rhodes of Madisonville, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Brian Aidan Haase, Brianna Jean Treesh, and Breeanna Jewel Treesh; his mother and stepfather, Shirley and Ronnie Wallen of Kendallville; his stepmother, Leota "Lee" Rhodes of Wolf Lake; four sisters, Rhonda (Mike) Kugler of Ashley, Renee (Dana) Dietrich of Fremont, Veronica Rhodes of Wolf Lake, and Marina (Grayson) Handshoe of Kendallville; four brothers, Jeff (Dora) Rhodes of Catlett, Virginia, Joe (Linda) Rhodes of Wolf Lake, Denny (Linda) Sparkman of Kendallville; and Roger(Connie) Sparkman of Kendallville; paternal grandmother, Edna Osborn of Kendallville; and a friend, Lisa Adams of Madisonville, Tennessee.
He was preceded in death by his father; maternal grandparents, Mildred Click and Mose Mullins; and paternal grandparents, Addie Elizabeth Rhodes and Lawrence "Buddy" Rhodes.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 31, 2014, at 10 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Chris Mosley of Grace Christian Church in Kendallville officiating. Burial will be in the Sedan Cemetery, Corunna.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Rhodes and Sherman Click. Active pallbearers will be Rodney Messer, Ed Fischer, Blake Kugler, Frank Cook, Jason Treesh, and Tony Aungst.
Calling is Friday, May 30, 2014, from 2 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
