Obituary

Brenda Rose Kasten, 60, of Hudson died Wednesday, June 27, 2018, at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.

She was born October 9, 1957, in Port Washington, Wisconsin to Milton and Roberta (Mason) Dehling.

On July 11, 1980, in Port Washington, Wisconsin, she married Russell L. Kasten. He survives in Hudson.

She had worked at Parker Hannifin in Ashley.

Brenda attended the Salem Center Presbyterian Church.

Also surviving are three sons, Joshua (Autumn) Kasten of Portland, Oregon, Jake (Kyle) Kasten of Pleasant Lake, and Clayton (Amanda) Kasten of Freeman, South Dakota; four grandchildren, Shelby, Madison, Breanna, and Lane; her father, Milton Dehling of Boltonville, Wisconsin; two sisters, Jennifer (Rick) Robinson of Campbellsport, Wisconsin, and Erin Dehling of West Bend, Wisconsin; four brothers, Tim (Lori) Dehling of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Michael Dehling of Angola, David (Jody) Dehling of Boltonville, Wisconsin, and Ryan (Liz) Dehling of Kewaskum, Wisconsin; and three special friends, Sharon Beer of Pleasant Lake, Sylvia Smathers of Pleasant Lake, and Jo-Anna Wren of Angola.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Roberta Dehling.

Funeral services will be Monday, July 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. at the Salem Center Presbyterian Church, 3935 S 800 W, Hudson with Rev. Dr. Maria Rutland officiating. Burial will be in Circle Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ben Smathers, Blake Smathers, Brock Barnhart, Brent McHenry, Josh Messer, and Matt Leider.

Calling is Sunday, July 1, 2018, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Hudson-Ashley Chapel, 612 North Main Street, Hudson and one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday.

Preferred memorials are to the Salem Center Presbyterian Church.
