Bonnie M. Hohman, 100, of Kendallville died Friday, April 22, 2011, at 10:25 p.m. in Gardens at Lake City, Warsaw.

Mrs. Hohman had lived in Kendallville from 1916 to 2008 when she moved to Warsaw.

She had worked in retail all of her life, including The Cinderella in Kendallville and managed Seagly's Gift Shop in Kendallville for 15 years.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Kendallville. She was also an Eastern Star, member of Sigma Beta and the Lady Elks all of Kendallville.

She enjoyed playing bridge, and participated in several bridge clubs in the community. Bonnie celebrated her 100th birthday at the Gardens at Lake City in Warsaw with over 70 family and friends in attendance.

She was born in Fremont, Michigan, on October 13, 1910, to William H. and Blanche (Woodward) Gohn. On April 11, 1931, in Kendallville she married Oswald E. "Ozzie" Hohman. He preceded her in death on May 12, 1971.

Surviving are a daughter-in-law, Joyce Hohman of Warsaw; two grandsons, Chris Hohman of Bloomington and Jeffrey Hohman of Kansas City; three great grandchildren, Ryan Hohman, Katie Hohman, and Brooks Hohman; two nieces, Betty Parker of Kendallville and Charlotte Donat of Kendallville; and a nephew, Robert Gohn of Grand Rapids, Michigan.

She was preceded in death by her son, Gordon Hohman on April 19, 1999; a sister, Mary Drumheller; three brothers, Cecil Gohn, Charles Gohn, and Richard Gohn; and a nephew, Carl Gohn.

Funeral services will be Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 2 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Bob Farmer of the First Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Casketbearers will be Chris Hohman, Jeff Hohman, Gregg Parker, Robert Probst, John Henney, and Tom Quick.

Calling is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
