Bobby G. Keene, 73 of Kendallville died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 15, 2020 at his residence.
He was born January 9, 1947 in Hi Hat, Kentucky to Melvin and Elizabeth (Justice) Keene. They preceded him in death.
He served in the U.S. Army.
On May 6, 1996 in Brimfield he married Shelia Vanhoozer. She survives in Kendallville.
Mr. Keene had worked at Coachman for 35 years, where he was a plumber and foreman.
Bobby dearly loved his family and spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid Kentucky basketball fan. He enjoyed watching "Gunsmoke" and "Little House on the Prairie".
Also surviving are five daughters, Ruby (Walter Runyan) Keene of Warsaw, Bobbie (Gerald Grider) Keene of Kendallville, Carol Blackburn of Kendallville, Susan (Kevin) Miller of Kendallville, and Sandy Walter of Columbia City; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Zetta (Ed) Frank of Fort Wayne; and his favorite dog, Macy Mae.
He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jackie Jones; a great-granddaughter, Addisyn Brooke Conley; four sisters, Betty Pack, Dottie Nickels, Shirley Keene, and Bonnie Keene; and three brothers, Paul Keene Curt Keene, and Burley Keene, Sr.
Funeral services will be Monday, September 21, 2020 at 11 a.m. at One Truth Christian Outreach, 309 Sargent Street, Kendallville.
Pallbearers will be Tommy Keene, Gerald Grider, Walter Runyan, Kevin Miller, Jonathon Keene, and Roger New.
Visitation will be Saturday, September 19, 2020 after 4 p.m. and all day Sunday, September 20, 2020 until the time of the funeral service on Monday.
Per the Governor of Indiana, face masks are required to be worn.
Preferred memorials are to the family for funeral expenses.
