Robert James "Bob" Lunk, 61, of Kendallville died Wednesday, July 6, 2011, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
He had lived in this area for 16 years, coming from Virginia. He had worked as a loan officer in a Pittsburgh bank.
Locally, Bob was a coach and supervisor at the YMCA. He thoroughly enjoyed the children there. Bob was the person who made everyone laugh and smile at the Kendallville McDonald's drive-through as you ordered your breakfast. He was also the "voice of the Apple Festival" as he made the announcements during the festival.
Bob was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He was born July 26, 1949, in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, to Robert and Louise (Luv) Lunk. On August 18, 1988, in New Holland, Pennsylvania, he married Sheree L. Rathvon.
Surviving are his wife, Sheree Lunk and a son, Josh Lunk both of Kendallville.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at 4 p.m. in Bread of Life Tabernacle, 321 E. Mitchell Street, Kendallville with Pastor Brent Wedding officiating.
Calling is Monday, July 11, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to services on Tuesday at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the family.
