Obituary

Billy B. Lawson, 64, of Garrett died Monday, February 11, 2019, from the results of a fire at his residence.

He was born February 17, 1954, in Kendallville to Melvin and Dora (Perkins) Lawson.

Mr. Lawson previously worked in construction.

Surviving are four daughters, Sandy Walter of Wolcottville, Sheila Ramey of Kentucky, Selina Barnes of Ohio, and Saphire Greer of Ohio; a son, Barry Greet of Ohio; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Phyllis (Clifford) Hunter of Kendallville, Nancy K. (Andy) McPherson of Garrett, and Yvonne (Darold) Brown of Fort Wayne; a brother, Darvin (Gayleen) Lawson of Wolcottville; and a sister-in-law, Ramona Lawson of Dayton, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Freda Lawson; his second wife, Wanda Lawson; and two brothers, Delmous Ray Lawson and Clarence Edward Lawson.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 21, 2019, at 2 p.m. at Harbor of Love Baptist Church, 2353 South Lima Road, Kendallville with Rev. Charles Mosley officiating. Burial will be in the South Milford Cemetery.

Calling is Thursday, February 21, 2019, from 1 to 2 p.m. at the church.
