Obituary

Billy D. Moore, 59, of Kendallville died Saturday, December 22, 2007, in Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. He had been a patient there for three weeks.

Mr. Moore had resided in the Kendallville area for 23 years, coming from Kentucky. He worked at Newnam Foundry in Kendallville. He and his wife had a shelter for the homeless and recovering addicts in Kendallville. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Kendallville.

He was born August 27, 1948, in Garrett, Kentucky. He was married to Judith L. Maloney Steele. She preceded him in death on March 1, 2003. Surviving is a close friend, Gloria Leslie of Fort Wayne.

Funeral services will be Thursday, December 27, 2007, at 1:30 pm at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Butler.

Visitation will be Thursday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to Riley Children's Hospital.
