Obituary

Billie Dale Short, 65, of Rome City died Saturday, June 4, 2011 at her daughter's home in Wolcottville, with her family by her side.

She retired from Kraft Foods in Kendallville.

She was born September 12, 1945 in Carrie, Kentucky to Demous & Ellen Short.

She is survived by one daughter, Jessica Leellen (short) Tuttle of Wolcottville; two grandsons, Joshua D. Short of Rome City and Justin & Karis Tuttle of Stroh; one great grandson, Kayden L. Tuttle of Stroh; and a close family member and friend who was by her side, Shawn Tuttle.

She was preceded in death by her father, Demous Short on June 8, 1972; her mother, Ellen Short on February 4, 2002, and a great granddaughter, Cherish Tuttle on April 14, 2011.

A memorial service will be Saturday, June 18, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Five Corners Baptist Church, State Road 9 N and 600 S, Wolcottville with Rev. Clarence L. Combs and Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Short Family Cemetery in Carrie, Kentucky.

Preferred memorials are to the family.
