Obituary

Beverly Ann Meyer, 80, of Big Long Lake, Hudson, Indiana, died Friday, September 22, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born October 19, 1942, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Walter Page and Ruth Ladonna (Reed) Liggett.

She graduated from South Side High School in Fort Wayne and Ball State University with a BA in education.

On December 28, 1963, in Fort Wayne she married Roger N. Meyer. He survives at Big Long Lake.

Mrs. Meyer retired from Dekko International Wire.

She was a member of Kendallville VFW Post 2749 Auxiliary and Rome City American Legion Post 381 Auxiliary.

Beverly enjoyed reading, bowling, and going to the casino. Having grown up with summers spent on Big Long Lake, she dearly loved that she was able to enjoy her retirement life as a permanent resident of Big Long Lake.

Also surviving are a son, Ted (Vicki) Meyer of Kendallville; a daughter, Cathleen (Steve) Butler of Big Long Lake; two grandchildren, Ashley (Jeb) Thomas and Jeffrey Butler; two great-grandchildren, Claire and Kate Thomas; and a brother, Page David (Carole) Liggett of Copperopolis, California.

She was preceded in death by a son, Daniel Meyer and a grandson, Zachary Meyer.

Visitation will be Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Private burial will be at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Preferred memorials may be directed to Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306.
