Beverly Ann Friar, 71, of LaGrange, Indiana, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 11, 2021, at her residence.

She was born July 5, 1949, in Howe Valley, Kentucky, to Doyle and Irene (Jaggers) Youngblood. They preceded her in death.

On July 6, 1968, in Cecelia, Kentucky, she married Donald D. Friar. He survives in LaGrange.

Mrs. Friar and her husband started out farming. She later became an insurance agent, worked at the Miller's Grocery in Rome City, and for government subsidized housing. Most recently she was employed by Arc of LaGrange County as a caregiver.

She was a member of Open Door Community Church in Wolcottville.

Beverly enjoyed playing the piano, sewing, and baking. She loved being around children, especially her grandchildren.

Also surviving are a daughter, Donia (Brad) Lawson of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; a son, Loren (Laura) Friar of Roanoke; six grandchildren, Britten Friar, Ripley Friar, Riley Friar, Willow Friar, Victoria Lawson, and Patrick Lawson; and a brother, Greg (Marlane) Youngblood of Elizabethtown, Kentucky.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
