Beverly Ann Acker, 78, of Kendallville, Indiana, died Friday, December 1, 2023, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.
She was born July 30, 1945, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to Richard and Lelah (Bowers) Luce. They preceded her in death.
On April 2, 1966, in Fort Wayne she married Roy T. Acker, Jr. He preceded her in death on January 30, 2017.
Mrs. Acker retired from Essex in Kendallville where she was a quality inspector.
She attended CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene in Kendallville.
Beverly enjoyed doing puzzles, crosswords, word finds, and playing Bingo at the library. She also liked to decorate her home and go shopping at bargain shops. She dearly loved her cat, Charlie and time spent with her special friends, "the girls".
Surviving are a daughter, Danell (Trent) Mynhier of Avilla; three sons, Tim Acker of Kendallville, Mike (Ronda) Acker of Kendallville, and Josh (Gina) Acker of Fort Wayne; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene (Ronnie) Myers of New Haven.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Duane Acker on March 21, 2019; and a brother, Danny Luce.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
The funeral service will be Friday, December 8, 2023, at 12 p.m. with Pastor Rich Secor of CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene in Kendallville officiating.
Burial will follow at the South Milford Cemetery.
Honorary pallbearers are Reece Acker, Hudson Acker, and Logan Acker. Active pallbearers are Tim Acker, Mike Acker, Josh Acker, Noah Acker, Trent Mynhier, and Cory Balyeat.
Memorials may be directed to the Humane Society of Noble County.
