Betty L. Decker, 83, of Auburn, Indiana died Sunday, May 19, 2024, in the ER at Parkview DeKalb Hospital in Auburn.

She was born in Morgantown, Western Kentucky on May 30, 1940, to Grady and Stella (Swift) Dockery.

Betty retired from at General Electric in Fort Wayne.

She enjoyed reading and listening to music, especially country music. She loved spending time at home with "her boys", Todd and Kent, and going wherever they had planned.

Surviving are a son, Todd (Kent Stevens) Rupert of Auburn; a daughter, Kathy Barlow of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, Bonnie (Sam) Kline of Kendallville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and eight brothers and sisters.

Private graveside services will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
