Obituary

Betty Ruth (Coffelt) Jordan Barr, 95, of Wolcottville died Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the home of her granddaughter in Garrett.

She was born February 10, 1923, in Kendallville to William Ray and Edna (Gustin) Coffelt.

Mrs. Barr retired as a cook for the Chain of Lakes Correctional Facility near Albion.

She was a member of St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City.

Surviving are two daughters, Sally Watson of Mongo and Shirley Jordan of Wolcottville; four sons, Mark Jordan of Wolcottville, Robert (Suzanne) Jordan of LaGrange, Matthew (Cindy) Jordan of Wolcottville, and Derek (Kenna) Jordan of Hudson; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Earl Jordan on December 5, 1984; her second husband, William Barr on February 13, 1987; two sons, Bart Jordan and Gordon Jordan; a daughter, Toni Fugate; a grandson; two great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Reick and Mildred Kline; and three brothers, Delphos Coffelt, Robert Coffelt, and Herman Coffelt.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 10, 2018, at 11 a.m. at St. Gaspar Catholic Church in Rome City with Father Bernard Ramenaden officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Pallbearers are Burt Watson, Jeff Jordan, Luke Jordan, Mark Fugate, Ronnie Jordan, Josh Gilbert, Rick Jordan, Casey Rowe, and Larry Criswell.

Calling is Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville.
