Obituary

Betty J. Barkdull, 75, of Wolcottville died Friday, November 12, 2010, in Wesley Health Care Center, Auburn.

Mrs. Barkdull had lived in this area since 1969, and frequently wintered in Florida. She retired in 1985 after 18 years at Dometic in LaGrange.

She was born December 8, 1934, in Anderson to Joseph and Gertrude E. (Clark) Reed. On April 29, 1960, in Alexandria she married Harold R. Barkdull, Sr.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Trudi and Sanford Meyer of Wolcottville; five sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael Quinn of Ligonier, Jack Quinn of Ligonier, Randy Barkdull of Middle Town, Robin Barkdull of Fort Wayne, and Harold Barkdull, Jr. and Sherry Barkdull of Wolcottville; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold on February 5, 2008; two sisters; and two brothers.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 15, 2010, at 11 a.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville with Rev. Carldean Merrifield officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Wolcottville.

Calling is Sunday, November 14, 2010, from 2 to 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
