Obituary

Bessie Terry, 80, of Kendallville died Tuesday, September 4, 2018, at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born June 20, 1938, in Hazard, Kentucky, to Sam and Nora (Fields) Wagers.

She was a homemaker.

Bessie lived her life on her own terms and dearly loved her family. She was very kind-hearted and giving.

Surviving are two daughters, Connie Swager of Avilla and Tammy Walters of Mahomet, Illinois; five sons, Elvis Terry of Kendallville, Robert Terry of Kimmel, Ricky (Tina) Terry of Kendallville, Barry (Corene) Terry of Fort Wayne, and Jon Terry of Kendallville; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Alfred Wagers of Virginia.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Enoch Wagers, Hobart Wagers, and Hershel Wagers; and a granddaughter, Desiree Marie Terry.

A memorial visitation will be held Sunday, September 23, 2018, from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Kendallville Youth Center, 211 Iddings Street, Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
