Calling: Wednesday, July 30, 2014 - 1 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. ***************************************************************************************** Benjamin Howard "Benny" Murray, 20, of Wawaka passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2014, in the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor as the result of an auto accident on July 16th near Hudson.
He graduated from East Noble High School in 2012 where he played basketball, football, and ran cross country. He was attending IPFW in Fort Wayne, pursuing a degree in Elementary Education.
Benny was born November 10, 1993, in Dearborn, Michigan, but spent the majority of his life in Wawaka.
He was the loving son of Howard and Elaine (Ferraiuolo) Murray of Wawaka, extremely dear brother to Danielle Murray, Erik Murray, Aaron Murray, and Bryan Murray, all of Wawaka, and an absolutely adoring uncle to Sawyer Christner. Benjamin came from a large family and is leaving behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, and also an enormous amount of friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James and Gladys Murray, as well as his maternal grandparents, Diamond and Geraldine Ferraiuolo.
Funeral services will be Thursday, July 31, 2014, at 11 a.m. in CrossPointe Church of the Nazarene, 205 Highpointe Crossing, Kendallville, with Pastor Rich Secor officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.
Pallbearers will be Erik Murray, Aaron Murray, Bryan Murray, Jake LaMay, Michael Spears, Casey Evard, Ian Dove, Harrison Fisher, and Trevor Morr.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 30, 2014, from 1 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and one hour prior to the services on Thursday at CrossPointe Family Church of the Nazarene, Kendallville
The family asks that in lieu of flowers you please make a donation to the Benjamin H. Murray Scholarship Fund with checks payable to the Noble County Community Foundation, 1599 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, Indiana, 46767. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
