Obituary

Becky Mae Blowers, 83, of Wolcottville died Friday, March 7, 2008, in the Veterans Administration Hospital in Fort Wayne, where she had been a patient since Saturday.

Mrs. Blowers was a homemaker, and had lived at the same Wolcottville address for 56 years. During World War II, she served as a Medical Technician in the Women's Army Corp. (WAC's). She was very proud to be a veteran and an American.

She was born March 28, 1924, in Pine Mountain, Kentucky, to Oscar and Mallie (Huff) Begley. On January 27, 1951, in Angola she married Roscoe F. Blowers. He preceded her in death on March 10, 2000.

Surviving are three daughters and two sons-in-law, Mary and Raymond Dobson of Millersburg, Paula Blowers of Wolcottville, and Anne and Randall D. Anderson of LaGrange; three grandchildren, Roscoe Dobson, Angela Anderson, and Jared Blowers; a special granddaughter, Pamela Krotzer and her children, Kyle and Mallie; eight great grandchildren, Ryan Dobson, Jordan Dobson, Justin Dobson, Ashley Dobson, Nicholas Norris, Angelica Bueley, Phoenix Anderson, and Lukis Anderson; two sisters, Arlena Scearce of Loyall, Kentucky and Louise Huff of Tennessee; and one brother, Robert Begley of West Virginia.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Begley; two brothers, Chester Begley and Turner Begley; and a grandson, Ricky Dobson.

Visitation will be Tuesday, March 11, 2008, from 4 to 6 pm at the Young Family Funeral Home, Wolcottville Chapel, State Road 9 North, Wolcottville. There will be no services.
