Beatress Wava Hale, 86, of Kendallville died Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 8 pm in Shepherd of the Hill, Kendallville. Mrs. Hale was born March 17, 1921, in Chicago, Illinois, to Scott Forker and Marie Nellie (Keller) Forker Weaver. She was a homemaker and had worked at Star Cleaners in Kendallville. She was an East Noble School Crossing Guard at Diamond and Riley Streets in Kendallville for 17 years. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Sharon & John Parker of Kendallville; a son, Jack Hale of Fort Wayne; four grandchildren, Curt Parker, David Hale, Paula Wagner and Patrick Hale; and two great grandchildren, Lindsay Wagner and Alexis Wagner. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 14, 2007, at 11 a.m. at the Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel with Pastor Earl Rose, Jr. officiating. Casketbearers will be Earl Rose, Jr., Curt Parker, David Hale, Patrick Hale, Felix Landez and John Parker. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 13, 2007, from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Preferred memorials are to the donor's choice.
