Obituary

Basil L. Wicker, 39, of Wolcottville died Saturday, November 9, 2019.

He was born May 24, 1980, in Kendallville to Morris V. and Mary Sue (Scott) Wicker. His mother preceded him in death on July 7, 2019.

Mr. Wicker had worked at AAA Specialties in Angola.

Surviving are two daughters, Haylee Wicker of Fort Wayne and Ava Atz of Rome City; a son, Kayne Wicker of Fort Wayne; his father, Morris Wicker of Wolcottville; three sisters, Stephanie (Jason) Thornsberry of Avilla, Christel (Anthony) Dutt of Fort Wayne, and Kallie (Chance) Wildey of Wolcottville; and six nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Thursday, November 14, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church, 159 Greenwood Drive, Kendallville. Burial will be at Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Tuesday, November 12, 2019, after 4 p.m. and all day Wednesday at the church. An evening service will be held at 6 p.m. both evenings.

Preferred memorials are to the funeral home for funeral expenses.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
