Obituary

Barry G. Osbun, 55, of Kimmell died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 5, 2008, at 9:45 a.m. in his residence.

Mr. Osbun was a lifetime Noble County resident. He had formerly worked at Dow Corning in Kendallville. He had been a volunteer at Chain of Lakes State Park, and enjoyed Civil War history. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He was born April 1, 1953, in Kendallville to Raymond and Elmo (Bricker) Osbun.

Surviving are a daughter, April Solis of Garrett; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Travis Osbun of Bunker Hill, Justin Osbun of Kendallville, and Jared and Jessica Osbun of Kimmell; eight grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Marna and David Manuel of Kendallville; and two brothers, Lauren Osbun and Keith Osbun, both of Kendallville.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Lee Osbun.

Calling will be Friday, August 8, 2008, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville. Private burial services will be at Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
