Barry Patrick Haines, 77, of Kendallville, Indiana passed away Monday, September 15, 2025, at Marion VA Medical Center with his family by his side. He can now be in peace with his beloved wife, Robin for eternity.

He was born March 18, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio to Wesley Haines, Sr. and Shirley (Brown) Haines.

On February 25, 1972, in Kendallville he married the love of his life, Robin L. Hulett. They spent the next 50 years on Sylvan Lake. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2024.

He honorably served in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1970.

Barry retired from customer service at Flint and Walling in Kendallville.

He loved his community and was in Kendallville Jaycees for many years where he made lifelong friends.

Surviving are a daughter, Brooke (Chris) Rowe of Kendallville; a son, Dane Haines of Kendallville; three grandchildren, Stone Robinson, Jonah Haines, and Warren Rowe; and six siblings, Ernie Wise, Wesley (Eileen) Haines, Jr., Pam (Dennis) Musselman, Bruce (Dorlie) Haines, Jill (Kevin) Jones, Tammy (Gordon) Wells all of Kendallville and many nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant granddaughter, Lane Robinson; son-in-law, David Robinson, and two siblings, Christopher Haines and Velerie Jurich.

A memorial visitation will be Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 1 p.m. to 2:30 pm. The memorial service will begin at 2:30 all at Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville.

Honor guard services will be provided by the Veterans Honor Guard following the service.
