A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 5 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel.
Calling is on Saturday, March 14, 2015, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the funeral home. ************************************************************************************* Barbara Jean Stewart, 83, of Wolcottville died Monday, March 9, 2015, in Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville.
She lived in Noble County 27 years, DeKalb County nine years, and was formerly from Hamilton County.
Mrs. Stewart retired from Bostwick in Kendallville.
She was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Kendallville VFW Post 2749.
She was born July 4, 1931, in LaGrange County to Homer Riley and Lela Vera (Fritz) Rasler.
On July 1, 1951, in Noblesville she married Keith Reed Stewart. He survives in Wolcottville.
Also surviving are a daughter, Victoria (Kirk) Cheesman of Corunna; two sons, Christopher K. (Karen) Stewart of Indianapolis and Daniel L. (Linda) Stewart of Noblesville; six grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth June Leas of Ashley and Phyllis Phillips of Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lillian Flanders, and a brother, Charles Rasler.
A memorial service will be on Saturday, March 14, 2015, at 5 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville with Pastor Brian Walter of the South Milford Church of Christ officiating.
