Obituary

Ayla Wray Morr, 14, of Fort Wayne and formerly of Kendallville died Tuesday, July 13, 2010, at her residence.

Ayla would have been a freshman this fall at Carroll High School. She enjoyed fishing with her Grandpa, and swimming with her Grandma. She liked to sing and dance. She attended the youth group at Pine Hills Church in Fort Wayne.

She was born July 17, 1995, in Fort Wayne to Travis Shepherd and Amanda Lee Morr.

Surviving are her mother and stepfather, Amanda Lee McAtee and Justin Combs of Fort Wayne; her father, Travis Shepherd of Garrett; a sister, Dayanna Lee McAtee of Fort Wayne; a half sister, Laken Shepherd of Avilla; maternal grandparents, Richard and Cheryl Morr of Lake of the Woods; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Barb Shepherd of Avilla; maternal great grandmother, Betty Morr of Kendallville; an aunt, Angela Ritchie of Kendallville; an uncle, Eric Morr of Indianapolis; several other aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her godmother, Becca Shanton of Lake of the Woods.

She was preceded in death by her maternal great grandfather, Robert E. Morr, and her maternal great grandparents, Dale J. and Doris A. Henderson.

Funeral services will be Saturday, July 17, 2010, at 1 p.m. in Pathway Community Church, 11910 Shearwater Run, Fort Wayne, with J.R. Haglund and Pastor Julia Modarressi officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Calling will be Friday, July 16, 2010, from 4 to 8 p.m. in Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the church.

Preferred memorials are to the family in care of the funeral home.
