Obituary

Austin Thomas Robert Padgett, 22, of Wolcottville died Thursday, August 13, 2020, in Wolcottville.

He was born August 18, 1997, in Angola to Tommie Adkins and Brenda Padgett.

He attended Lakeland High School.

Austin loved animals and he loved to hunt and fish.

Surviving are his mother, Brenda Padgett of Ashley; his father Tommie (Bambee Grady) Adkins of Wolcottville; his significant other, Brianna Shirks of Butler; two daughters, Addyson Shirks of Butler and Madelyn Shirks of Butler; a sister, Hailie Hill-Kage of Fremont; a brother, Paul Hill-Kage of Fremont; maternal grandmother, Marge Wagner of Wolcottville; Aunt, Stacy (Jason) Adkins of Elkhart; uncles, Jason Smith of Angola, Jeremy Padgett of Kendallville, Ronnie Padgett of Blackford County, and Donnie Padgett of Blackford County; and cousins, Payne Smith, Bozwell Smith, Destiny Adkins, Serenity Adkins, Gage Adkins, and DJ Adkins.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Zandra Kage; a brother, Zaden Kage; maternal grandfather, Jerry Padgett; and paternal grandparents, Michelle and Don Ward.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Preferred memorials may be directed to the funeral home for funeral expenses.
