Anna Mae Tackett, 89, of Corunna died Monday, September 11, 2017, at 9:04 p.m. in her residence surrounded by family.
She was born June 25, 1928, in Garrett, Kentucky, to Sam and Mary (Salmons) Stephens.
On April 11, 1946, in Drift, Kentucky, she married Joe Tackett. He survives in Corunna.
Mrs. Tackett worked at Essex Wire in Ligonier, and King-Seeley, and Uniform Printing both in Kendallville.
She attended Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church near Kendallville.
Anna Mae enjoyed gardening, crocheting, and reading and dearly loved her grandchildren.
Also surviving are three daughters, Joan (Buford) Shepherd of Cookeville, Tennessee, Mary Rafferty of Corunna, and Sarah "Deb" (Steve) Faulkner of Corunna; three sons, Denver (Beverly) Tackett of Avilla, Clyde Tackett of Corunna, and Michael (Mel) Tackett of Corunna; 12 grandchildren, Lisa, Johnny, Sandi, Michelle, Jacklyn, Brandi, Jenny, Charity, Matt, Joe, Tammy, and Lee; 23 great-grandchildren, Kathy, Candy, Lyndy, Blake, Luke, Devon, Cam, Tosha, Hayden, Summer, Jake, Sarah, Cali, Cole, Kimmy, McKayla, Maddie, Samantha, Joey, Noah, Cora, Adlyen, and Grayson; and 11 great great-grandchildren, Alaina, Matthew, Christian, Preston, Autumn, Geneve, Prairie, Wyatt, Liam, AJ, and Joseph.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Theresa Stienbarger; two brothers, Hallie Stephens and Vernon Stephens; and an infant sister.
Funeral services will be Friday, September 15, 2017, at 2 p.m. in Little Flossie Old Regular Baptist Church, Kendallville with the Elders of the church officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Crager, Tavis Sparkman, Blake Crager, Coleman Spencer, Matt Tackett, and Wade Warner.
Calling is Thursday, September 14, 2017, after 3 p.m. at the church.
Preferred memorials are to the Noble County Humane Society.
