Anita Gay Zerkle, 63, of Auburn, Indiana died Tuesday, June 4, 2024, surrounded by her family at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne.

She was born September 11, 1960, in Allentown, Pennsylvania to Carl Russell and Marge (Pittenger) Andelin.

She had worked as a cashier at Walmart.

Anita was a very loving and caring person, she cared about everyone. Her pride and joy was her family, she loved them very much.

Surviving are a daughter and her companion, Sarah Jones and Chelsea Weston of Fort Wayne; a son and daughter-in-law, Matthew and Kristi Jones of Fort Wayne; three grandchildren, Jayden Fuleki, Cole Markovich, and Kiya Weston; a sister-in-law, Karen Andelin of Fort Wayne; two nephews, Greg Andelin of Westfield and Jeff Andelin of Fort Wayne; numerous cousins; and the father of her children, Richard D. Jones of Lakeland, Florida.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Arlene Bruner; and a brother, Victor Andelin.

Celebration of life services will be announced at a later date.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is assisting the family with arrangements.
