Obituary

Amy Lou Hawkins, 85, of Kendallville died Tuesday, June 14, 2011, in Lutheran Life Villages, Kendallville.

Miss Hawkins was a lifetime area resident. She retired from the Kendallville Laundry.

She was born September 6, 1925, in Kendallville to Wilbur Ray and Lulu Amy (Canfield) Hawkins.

Surviving are one nephew and three nieces, including Karen (Darol) Stroman of The Villages, Florida.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin Hawkins and Hubert Hawkins; and two sisters, Marjorie Briner McCall and Susan C. Emerson.

Private services will be held with Vicar Norman Wacker of Lutheran Life Villages officiating. Burial will be in Lake View Cemetery, Kendallville.

Young Family Funeral Home, Kendallville Chapel, 222 South State Street, Kendallville is in charge of arrangements.
