Obituary

Amber Lee Hicks, 33, of Rome City died Sunday, September 25, 2016, in her residence.

She was a lifetime area resident and a 2002 graduate of East Noble High School.

She was employed at the ARC Foundation in Albion.

Amber dearly enjoyed working. She loved bowling, Kenny Chesney and country music, wrestling, Jeff Gordon, and her cat, Whiskers.

She was born February 20, 1983, in LaGrange to Gary and Donna (Zimmerman) Hicks. They survive in Rome City.

Also surviving are her grandmother, Helen Zimmerman of Topeka; aunts and uncles, Peggy Zimmerman of Kendallville, Jimmy Zimmerman of Brushy Prairie, Alan Zimmerman of Topeka, Lynn Schlabach of Rome City, Alva and Darin Metzger of Wolcottville, and Dallas Hicks, Jr. and Lisa Hicks of Garrett; a host of cousins; and her best friend, Jessica Christian of Corunna.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dallas Hicks, Sr. Ida Hicks, and Harry Zimmerman; and an aunt, Girley Burtz.

Funeral services will be Thursday, September 29, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the Full Gospel Revival Center, Rome City with Pastor Ruben VanHoose, Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery, Rome City.

Calling is Wednesday, September 28, 2016, after 3 p.m. at the church where there will be an evening service at 6 p.m.

Preferred memorials are to the Pin Busters Bowling League in Albion.
